Membership of these ministries is open to both males and females of all who have undergone or
presently undergoing the Workers in Training.
CHOIR
The role of the choir is to offer true worship to God through music and leading of the congregation in corporate worship to God during the services. This primarily responsible for enabling the
out pouring of his Holy Spirit during individually maintaining and corporately reflecting God’s
standards of pure holiness.
USHERING
This group consist of men and women with the purpose of providing a well dignifies reception
as the first point of contact for members and visitors to the house of God and assist in locating
a suitable and comfortable seating place. They are responsible for effecting orderliness and
cleanliness in the church as well as maintaining the spiritual and physical
sanctity of members of the church in the service especially during the period of ministrations.
The usher also assures each visitor is given a visitor’s card to fill out.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Every Sunday From 1:30pm –2:00pm is designed for the purpose of disseminating the undiluted teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Sunday school department is also responsible
for the following.
* Workers in Training programme – for the purpose of preparing new leaders for service in the
church
* New believers class- for newly converted Christians
* Baptismal class- for those willing to commit themselves to the discipleship of our Lord Jesus.
These teachings take place after the service every Sunday and the teachers’ preparatory
meeting every Friday evening.
CHILDREN DEPARTMENT
Children’s teachers have a very important ministry. It is more than just baby sitting the children
till the adult service is over; more than simply occupying the children with activities so they are
not noisy. This ministry involves impacting the lives of children towards a personal, vital, and
growing relationship with Christ. It involves setting them on the path of everlasting life at a
tender age.
GOOD WOMEN
The Women's Ministry is established with a vision to reach out, empower and edify women in
RCCG and in the surrounding communities where the ministry exists; by so doing these women
would be able to fulfil their God-given purpose. This ministry is strategically positioned to be
able to utilize and harness all talents, gifts and resources to build up women in the body of
Christ.
MEN FELLOWSHIP
This is an “all men” subgroup of the church, having as its mission to create a strong bond of
brotherhood through fellowship and encouragement of the men, in a Christian manner.
SINGLES FELLOWSHIP
This comprises of young and unmarried brothers and sisters in the Church.
Virtues and singleness in our men and women are brought to limelight through their fellowship
and togetherness, as they prepare for a happy and blissful relationships.
YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
Youths gather together to harness their strengths, which is their glory, for the service of the
Kingdom. They come together to share the word of God. Thereby growing daily in His vineyard.
EVANGELISM
Designed to reach out through sharing the word and preaching the gospel to our neighbouring
homes and surroundings. It is our duty to produce tracts and materials required to support the
evangelical mission and to also organise purposeful outreach programmes.
The church goes out regularly to tell people about the love of God for the lost and un-
regenerated, by preaching the gospel of peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Soul winning is the
heart-beat of God.
INTERCESSORY
A ministry set-up to intercede for the nation, the church and the individual needs of prayer.
They are responsible for maintaining an uninterrupted prayer chain for the church.
HOUSE FELLOWSHIP
The church encourages meetings in our immediate living environment. This is to affect our
Christian discipleship outside the confines of the Church infrastructure. It is also designed to
encourage fellowship with other Christian neighbours.
FOLLOW-UP
This group takes on the responsibility of ministering to newcomers to the believers and ensure
that they have a satisfactory beginning in the house. They are responsible for the spiritual
welfare of regular members who my have for a while and /or who need some encouragement.
They are also expected to demonstrate the love of Christ in praying and visiting homes especially
in the neighbourhood.
TECHNICAL
This ministry takes responsibility for operation and care of the musical instruments and
equipment (technical & electrical) used in the place of worship. It also shows a smooth and
uninterrupted amplification of the worship to the church during all the services.
WELFARE
The welfare ministry was set up to oversee the interest of the members responsible for the
provision of rations to members as when required on us to organise support (physical,
material, emotional etc) for members or as and when required.
ADMINISTRATION
This is a support ministry designed to provide information, administrative, professionaltraining/development to all arms of the church. It is responsible for proper image
and effective presentation of the church as a first point of public and liaison with other churches,
organisations and bodies. It also ensures effective adherence to policies, procedures and the
administration.
